And so it begins! I start to decorate more and more with flags and red, white and blue until I have it all finished by 4th of July!

Today it feels like the sun is baking my soul LOL! The heat index is currently 107!!! Too hot - especially since summer hasn't even officially started yet!
I have a few flag items I need to be getting out. |

Oh, Heather…that’s too much heat too soon! Our June last year was like that. We have had a fire going here for the last couple of days….crazy for the middle of June! It’s cozy :) |

It's so hot and dry here too in South Texas. Luckily it's pretty windy so that helps a bit.
The fire looks delightful! I started cross stitching my granddaughter's Christmas stocking - already dreaming of fall/winter.

Laura, I love that season of working on Christmas presents and decorations before the holidays! I always wanted to cross stitch stockings but never got them done. I bet it will be beautiful! |

They all gather in front of the fans! They don't like it. Cow's can't sweat so they can start to have heat stress at 70 degrees. We keep an eye on them and if we need to we'll make them all spread out a bit and sometimes give them a sprinkling with the water hose. We have more of the same weather for the next couple days. I'd rather have the fire place going! I agree - that cabin looks fabulous. I should be starting some Christmas gifts but I won't get to it for a while yet. Canning is about to get started.
It's 8:35 right now and the temp is still 92 with the heat index at 105! I can't imagine living much further south right now LOL! |

| At least there's a wonderful breeze today!!! Still too hot, but a little easier to handle when the air is moving. Looks like only 2 showers today instead of 3 LOL! |

It’s Summertime, I am so excited! I do love summer and our new deck! I just want to sit outside all the time. Our weather is absolutely fabulous and I want to enjoy it. But, sadly I won’t get anything done. But, Summer is time for fun. Friday I will go to the Beach!
And talking about summer, we are surrounded by blackberry bushes over our 2 acres. I am going to need all of you Wildflowers to come help me picked them all when they are ready. It won’t be long now. I bought a couple of blackberry cookbooks as I need some recipes for canning etc.
If any one has a wonderful blackberry recipe or two send it to me please as I want to be creative,
Today is errand day so I better get moving.
