Let’s do something fun for Mardi Gras and play with some Glittter! I never use glitter on my crafts ever as I was not sure how it is done but love it! So, I looked it up and I know I can do now!! So Easy!!
Let’s make one Mardi Gras Tag any medium you wish but for Mama Hen let’s add glitter! :-)
One partner each please as all of us do other swaps on the main forum and I do not want to overwhelm any one.
Sign up through Feb. 10th, mail out Feb. 14th that gives you enough time to get it finished and in the mail in time for your partners to enjoy.
Any one need a couple of tags maybe one to make for yourself and your partner let me know and I will send them to you. I have so many of them.

| I've never celebrated mardi gras but I can make a tag and it can be sent for a stamp so I'll give it a try! I have a lot of glitter LOL! |

I am happy you want to play Heather. Really we do not celebrate Mardi Gras but it is a fun holiday and I love to make tags.
Jean posted a Jambalaya recipe on my ATC swap thread and it sounds be yummy, so I will have her post it or I can.
This is just a fun little swap so I can play with Glitter!! |

Okay Wildflowers her is Sweet Jambalaya Recipe and other info she shared. I will fix it for Mardi Gras and I am ordering a king cake, just for fun.

JAMBALAYA
2 lbs cooked chicken cubed
2 lbs smoked (Andouille) sausage cut into coins
1 large onion chopped
1/2 chopped green pepper
1/2 cup chopped parsley
2 stalks celery chopped
5 cloves garlic chopped
3 ripe tomatoes chopped
1 tsp dried thyme
2 bay leaves
1 Tbsp Cajun seasoning
2 cups uncooked rice
2 cups chicken stock
In a thick skillet with a tight cover, brown the chicken and sausage in a small amount of oil. Add the onions and stir over medium heat until they are limp. Add green peppers, parsley, celery, garlic, tomatoes, thyme and bay leaves. Add Cajun seasoning continue to cook and stir for about 5 minutes. Add the rice and stock. Cover and let simmer over very low heat for 30 minutes. Do not uncover until near the end of cooking time adding 1/2 cup additional stock if it seems too dry. Serves 10.
If you really want to serve a great Mardi Gras meal, be sure to make pecan pralines for dessert or better yet, splurge and go to www.paulspastry.com -- A Mississippi bakery that mail orders awesome King Cakes.

I'd love to participate too! I didn't see this swap until I got home tonight - I've just been to New Orleans and actually went to my first ever Mardi Gras parade. It was the Chewbaccus parade (full of Star Wars, Harry Potter and other science fiction characters). It's the "nerd" parade - it was so much fun!
Guess I'll have to go glitter shopping in the appropriate colors now!
