Just got back from an extended trip up to visit my sweet granddaughter so I wanted to share a picture. Caroline is 16 months old already.
My daughter and her husband took a little vacation for her birthday. They visited 8 state parks in Central Texas as well as a cavern tour. When they got back I stayed a bit longer so I could celebrate my son's birthday with him too.
While I was up there we took a trip to Canton to their Trade Days. Loved walking through the junking booths - they are my favorite. Picked up a few treasures but mostly just enjoyed the time with my daughter and friends.
Thanks to everyone who sent me happy mail while I was away. I'm working on catching up - funny - it seems like I am always catching up! Just wanted you to know that I appreciate you all!

What a cutie! Sounds like you had a great time. I know what you mean about always trying to catch up - and I haven't even went anywhere LOL!

Isn’t it amazing how quickly the little ones grow? I wish they would slow down! I’m trying to really focus on and enjoy the current moments with them.

Caroline is precious Laura! I don’t have any grandchildren yet, but then my son just got married in October, so they need to wait a few years.
A day hemmed in prayer is less likely to unravel.

Thanks everyone - she is truly my joy these days! I wasn’t in a hurry to be a grandma (which is why I chose LaLa as my “name” cause I just don’t feel like a grandma yet) but it is the best thing! Plus I am so thankful that my dad is having a chance to enjoy being a great grandfather too.
And Wanda - my sweet girl eloped in September during the pandemic and then found out that next March they were expecting - a surprise - definitely sooner than they planned - but I truly believe it happened when it was supposed to :)
