Can you believe it is May already Wildflowers, I sure don’t. Spring is not yet here to stay I do not think.

Happy May Day!
I always seem to have intentions and desire to do a little something fun for May Day, BUT... it always seems to arrive before I've had a chance to plan anything. Time is flying by. I remember my grandfather alway saying: Life is like a roll of toilet paper, the closer you get to the end, the faster it goes. Siggghhhh.... guess that's a reminder that we must all live life to the fullest best we can. Hugs to you all. |

LOL! My Grandma always said "the older you get the faster time goes" Seems to be true!
It's raining and sleeting here and very chilly. The wind chill is below freezing but I'm trying real hard to ignore it. |

| I remember when I was in the first grade, about 100 years ago and we had the most fabulous teacher. She helped us make May baskets out of a paper cone shape that we decorated. She brought beautiful flowers from her yard to put in the baskets. We were supposed to hang them on our front door when we got home and ring the bell to surprise our moms. It’s a special memory:). I think there were a lot of surprised and happy moms that day! |

| I love teachers like that, Debbie... they make such a difference in our childrens lives and ours! Definatley worth their weight in GOLD. If they only knew! |

| They really are! She was one of my favorites. They gave her a big party when she retired….so many people loved her :) |

Happy belated May Day Debbie and fellow farmsisters!
Oh Debbie K, I remember well the days in elementary school when we too would create the cobes and our teacher would also bring flowers for us to place in them for our moms! Those are precious memories! Now when in Germany, older then and married, the locals in our town would decorate the town square with flowers galore and on May day, they would celebrate around the may pole and the town would have such a fest!! Ahhh, I sure loved it and had the best time there!!
Miss my mom, miss the good ol day, miss Germany. Nothings the same anymore. :( |
