I was talking with our mama hen and we came up with, what I hope will be, a fun idea for everyone.

Since we all get junk mail lets turn it into something nice. I'm thinking something that you can mail from home with just a stamp - such as a card, postcard, tag, bookmark, etc. However, if you want to do something on a larger scale that's fine, just not required. I also want to keep this fun and not stressful so there are no deadlines. This will just be an ongoing thing through the end of this year.

Signing up means 2 things:
1. you would like to receive junk mail creations from others.
2. you will make junk mail creations and send to others.

As I said before there are no deadlines so if you make one today and don't get to make anything else for a few weeks, no problem. If you are busy until August, no problem. If you make a bunch at a time - that's fine as well LOL! Just have fun.

I also ask that you make sure to post a thank you when you receive something so the creator knows it arrived.

I'll make a list here of those that sign up:
Heather
Debbie F.
Karen
Laura
April
Wanda
Denise
Debi C.
Julie

We don’t get much junk mail anymore, but I sure can save what we do get. Sign me up Heather, let’s see what I can make from a seed or chemical company postcard.

I've barely received any junk mail let alone my standard mail... so I've got non in the works, BUT... I was at lowes the other day picking out some paint and picked up a couple extra brochures I thought I could doctor up. :-) We'll see if I can find some creativity with them!

Hey Heather! I am terribly sorry, but could you please take me off this swap? I misunderstood the assignment all together! After reading the comments, I understand now! Lol Honestly, I don't get enough junk mail to create something out of it. All we ever get are bills, political ads, and grocery flyers that we use to line litter boxes with. Looking forward to seeing what you others are doing though! <3

Absolutely! There really aren't any limits to what you make. I just thought it would be fun to use some junk mail and things we already have one hand and make something creative. I like April's idea of free stuff from the store as well! While they're not really junk mail, you could also recycle cards you receive and make them into something else. And remember - there's no real timeline so don't feel any pressure if you're not working on anything right now. This is just for fun - not stress LOL!

I got my first piece of “junk art” from Debbie F. She says that she gets lots of mailings from Animal Organizations. I love all of their sweet faces, thank you for sharing with me. I will use this as a bookmark.

Love the tag!

I have a few pieces started but was out of town late last week/weekend. Hoping to find some time to finish things up AFTER I clean my craft room/office. :)

Still trying to figure out what I want to do. We get junk mail but not often. I do have some ideas that have been floating around my head. Is it okay to use things we have floating around the craft room? I have lots of leftovers I save when crafting because I can't bear to just throw them away. Maybe a way to use them up?
