On Halloween I was so excited! But probably not for the reason you think LOL! We got our first snowfall!!!!! I took some pictures but they're still on the camera and I don't have time to upload them right now. Hopefully I'll get to it soon so you can all join my fun. And wait until you see how I celebrated.....

Heather, we got it here to but I didn't get a chance to grab photos. I loved it though. Looking forward to seeing your pictures!

I'm glad you're all as excited as I was LOL!

Here's the snow that was falling - it was blowing fast!

Here's how much we ended up with on the ground:

Look real close:

So to celebrate - since I couldn't build a snowman:

Snowman cookies! They lasted about as long as the snow did LOL!!

This is a recipe I got from Grace (Katmom) called Pfefferkuchenpuppen. Debbie and Dianna may know of them :) When I googled it I learned the puppen part means doll in german. I'm guessing this is their version of our gingerbreadman. Except these have just about every spice there is in them except ginger LOL! The batter wasn't very good but once cooked and iced they're delicious.

We're back up to around 60 now so there's no more snow in the forecast. I guess at least it'll be nice walking around the shops tomorrow for the holiday open houses in town :) Did anyone else get snow yet?

We got about the same as you did but now there is rain in the forecast today and we are supposed to hit 70 on Wednesday. This weather is wreaking havoc with allergies and upper respiratory here.

Heather, here in the South we get just as excited about ANY snowfall, because it’s so rare. It’s so fun to see it fall, whether it sticks to the ground or not. Your cookies look and sound yummy. Thanks for sharing your snow pictures, it might be all I get to see this year.

We got snow on Halloween too, and Charlie Puppers sure had fun prancing through it when we walked him in his costume down to mom's for a special treat. He didn't know whether to eat the snow or crunch the leaves! Lol

Heather, we got a tiny bit of snow yesterday. Mostly rain, but it did turn to snow at one point. It is all melted now though.
