So yesterday I went in for a routine mammogram. I had my first and only other one back in 2020 and all was fine. Today, they called to say they wanted me back for an ultrasound, so I have an appointment on Friday morning at 8:20 am. Could be something, could be nothing. Please say a little prayer for me, sisters. Breast cancer runs in my family on my dad's side. |

I will definitely pray for you, Hannah! I was told that they take 4 standard pictures, 2 “poses” on each side. So I’m order to get a closer look at something, they may call you back for extra pictures. There is breast cancer on my dad’s side, 2 aunts and my grandma. I’m now getting a MRI every year as well, just precautionary. Please keep us posted! |

Good morning Hannah, prayers are being sent for sure. Just an FYI, my mother in law has been called back every year for the past five years, and its always a false alarm. |

Praying it turns out to be nothing. And that you don't drive yourself nuts with worry between now and then (I know I probably would)! |

Oh sisters, the Lord is truly good. Turns out, they were looking at two different areas. One ended up being benign cysts that were there the last time, but not as noticeable as I was 65 pounds heavier when my last mammogram was taken. The other area showed absolutely nothing on ultrasound. She went over it very thoroughly, the radiologist checked the pictures, couldn't see anything, she did another scan to be sure, and saw nothing. They are assuming it also had to do with my weight loss and the way the muscle and tissue was pressed in the machine. As far as they can tell, I am fine. They want me back in 6 months for a follow up mammogram as a precaution, but they seemed pretty confident that it was a false alarm. So thank you for all your prayers! |
