I tell you this I am just so sad! Not only because we lost a precious dog last week but also because December has went by so fast, why?. I need more time, I just am not ready in my mind! So many things I still want to do. Is any body else feeling the same way?

Happy Christmas week!
It does seem like December is just flying by. Some days I feel like I'm doing okay and other days I feel so behind. I don't feel like I've had time to just sit and enjoy the season. I do love the week between Christmas and New Year's - when I can finally take a deep breath and enjoy the lights and the coziness. Some things will have to get done in the new year - and I'm just going to be okay with it.
In all the craziness, remember to take care of you. It seems like so many people are under the weather right now.

I definitely agree that December has come and gone like a flash! Technically, I’m “ready” for Christmas but maybe not on the inside.

Last night after supper we went driving around through the neighborhoods to see all the Christmas lights, it is a tradition that we have followed for over 40 years.
Things were a bit different this year not as many folks decorate their homes and yards like in years past and boy did we get some weird stares and looks. With all the neighborhood watch’s I guess they thought we were casing the neighborhood to come back later and steal things. But, we were just out for fun, it was the start of the Fischer’s Christmas week. We saw some beautiful displays, a guy fishing and then catching fish, lots of tree trunks beautifully decorated with fluorescent color lights, snowmen, Santa and even the Grinch so many lavishly decorated homes. But the prettiest display of all was the most spectacular display of a lighted Nativity Scene I have ever seen. I was just in awe, I have not seen such a pretty display. I felt so thankful and blessed, for all the wonderful like family friends I have had n my life.
I wish all of My Wildflowers the most Blessed Holiday Season and I thank each of you for our most amazing HenHouse! It is all of you that make it so special and fun. |

Debbie - we noticed that there are not as many decorated places around us this year also. And I know what you mean - we get some funny looks every year as we're slowly going by places LOL! |
