It looks like we’re all going to be dealing with the arctic blast this weekend! Please stay safe and warm!

I thought my Wildflowers would like this .

'The sky is dark and the ground is white,
The world is peaceful on this wintry night,
No one around, not a sound to be heard,
Not a laugh, not a car, not even a bird.
For a moment it’s just the snow and me.
I smile inside. It feels good to be free.'

Gearing up for a wicked cold week here. Definitely not one of the funner times to be a cart pusher, but I shall try and keep a stiff upper lip. Lol!

Debbie, so pretty!

I wish it were that quiet here. The wind has been blowing fiercely since yesterday afternoon. Not sure if we've lost any trees or limbs as it is still dark here at present. Should be lightening soon. I'm an early riser. The temperature are going below freezing here this week. We did get snow last night but doesn't seem to be much. Just a dusting. I doubt it will melt with these temps though.
Hope everyone stays safe and warm!

Mmmm... Hot cocoa! I have a Chocolate Mint mix made with maple sugar instead of regular sugar that you mix with warmed milk. Gonna whip some of that up tomorrow!

That sounds delicious, Hannah! Chocolate and mint is my favorite combination. I make hot chocolate with warm milk, cocoa powder, maple syrup, and peppermint essential oil all the time - I bet your mix is very similar but I've never had maple sugar so it may be a little different :)

This is what I use. I bet it is pretty similar to yours, Heather! I like it because it's not as sweet as some I've had.

I order it online from Barred Woods Maple out of Vermont. I get my maple syrup and maple sugar from them as well. Yummy stuff!
