| Thanks Dianna! Yes, we took the afternoon off and went to a new restaurant for lunch then played some putter golf. It was a wonderful day for us. After evening milking we watched a movie. |

Dianna - we almost had an udderly fantastic time at a place called udders and putters :) Denise probably knows what I'm talking about. There's 2 courses and they're farm themed with some cows. The entire place is called Young's Jersey Dairy. They have a restaurant, cheese shop, putter golf, batting cages, and other things for the kids (nothing I've ever done so I'm not sure what all there is). You can also go to the barn and see the Jersey cows or feed the goats. They have seasonal things too like pumpkins, and Christmas trees. We just didn't want to go so far away and since it was a Saturday they can get quite busy. Instead we grazed in the pastures a little closer to home LOL! |

Happy anniversary, all you May Sweeties! And Happy birthday Dianna!
Well, I work tomorrow, but after that, we are going down to Red Lobster for dinner. BUT, Ry and I took a 5 day weekend starting Thursday and we have all sorts of things planned! Yummy foods, backyard camping with our pup if the weather allows, antiquing, an art fair and farmers market downtown, and visiting the otters at the zoo. Probably hiking and stuff too. Whatever we can squeeze in. I am also SO excited because my main birthday present comes on Wednesday and I can't wait. Do you remember the book Hitty, Her First Hundred Years? It's about a little wooden doll and all her adventures... Anyway, it was one of my favorite books growing up and I wanted a doll like her so bad! My dad actually made me one out of a clothespin that I still have, but she just wasn't quite the same. So fast forward 30 years and I was scrolling Facebook and came across a group called Hitty and Friends. It is sll people who love that doll. More than that, there are people that actually make them!!!!! They are highly collectable and pretty expensive, but I wanted one so bad. I messaged a bit with a lady down in Georgia that hand carves them from wood, just like the original. She had a darling one she had just finished carved from Hickory wood. I am well aware that she is pure sentimentally driven extravagance, so you could have knocked me over with a feather when I showed Ry and he said get her. So now I am scheming about all the little accessories I cam make for her. I even have Ry on board to create a little room diorama to display her in with furniture and stuff. I promise I'm turning 44, not 4. Haha! |

How Wonderful Hannah, sounds like amazing plans doing all your favorite things. And I can not wait to see your dolls I have never heard of the book or doll so I will look it up.

| Oh my goodness! I can't believe no one has heard of this book! You should all read it. Lol It's an old book, written around 1927 I believe. It's a children/young adult book, but like the Little House series, it is completely enjoyable for adults. And the story is so enchanting! |

This is a picture of the original Hitty doll that inspired Rachel Field to write Hitty; Her First Hundred Years. She is on display at the Stockbridge Library Museum in Stockbridge, Massachusetts. |

I do remember Hitty and believe I have a copy of the book. I have a lot and will have to see if I still have it around. I haven't read it in years and years.
