Hi Wildflowers! I'm Chris!
We bought a 10,000 sq foot lot in 2010 and have been converting it into edible gardens while getting the 1888 Victorian that came with it back up to code. The pace slowed a bit in 2018 when we had our daughter and now what I do for "work" is teaching her Kindergarten.
**** On the badge front, I hope we'll continue with a 2025 challenge. I'm working on:
*Outstepping (outpost 2) - I've put together a motley crew of 3 friends to hike the Trans-Catalina Trail between Christmas and New Years this year. Researching best in class backpacking food was how I stumbled upon MJF and the sisterhood to begin with.
*Let's Get Physical (Make it Easy 7) - I am training for a half Ironman triathlon race in Oregon next summer.
*Bibliophile (Each other 25) - I love books! Currently about 75% of the way through the MJF Ideas book but it is slow going because I'm shoving a bookmark in every few paragraphs to go off implementing a tip like dehydrating raspberries, sprouting seeds, or shopping for ornamental kale varieties.
*Blogging (Each other 19) - My long-term recall is pretty unreliable so this might be the solution to preserve the memories of the fun adventures.
*Gaining Ground (Garden Gate 3) - I came across a Huw Richards book with fancy guidance about how much compost to top dress veg beds and now I want to know how much we are casually generating with our lazy compost method to figure out how many beds we could keep filled.
*Get it Together (Farm Kitchen 9) - This looked like a quick easy foundational project to do more Farm Kitchen work, such as...
*Carpe Cocoa (Farm Kitchen 19) - wooo hoo! Truffle party!
*****
I think that's it for now. I don't know if I need to post the bio I sent Debbie here or if there is another method for circulating that? If you have any questions or advice for me, please send it my way!

Nice to meet you Chris! Feel free to jump in on earning the badges now, no need to wait until next year! We will do some new goals in the new year though. Happy to have you join us in the henhouse. |

Hi Chris - so nice to meet you & looking forward to hearing about your badge projects. Send us some photos from the Trans-Catalina trail. That sounds like an awesome hike! Where in Oregon are you doing the half Ironman triathlon? I lived in Bend, OR until recently. |

Christine, yes she is. She loves to help me with so many different things and is very big into all sorts of crafts. She enjoys when I do those merit badges. |

Here is the picture and bio that Chris posted last year when she joined the Wildflowers. You certainly are an active and interesting Wildflower:D |
