It seems to be a theme for me for many years or maybe I was just brought up that way. I don't know but I sure do appreciate life this way.
I think these little mice have found a way to do it. Finding joy.
The best time to be happy is now. It's the little things in life; a bowl of popcorn, a good book or a movie, an interesting cloud formation, raindrops or snowflakes on the window.
Love this little poem.

Poppin' Fun with Popcorn

Pop, pop, pop, the kernels dance,
In a hot, sizzling, popping trance,
A burst of joy with every pop,
A tasty treat that's hard to stop.
From a humble seed, a fluffy delight,
Golden and crispy, a simple sight,
Buttery, salty, or sweet and glazed,
A snack that's loved, in all its ways.
In a bowl at movies, or by the fire,
A crunchy snack, to never tire,
Shared with friends, or savored alone,
Popcorn's magic, fully shown.
A burst of flavor, a burst of sound,
A treat that's truly world-renowned,
So let's celebrate, with kernels spun,
Popcorn, a snack that's always fun!

Love the poem and mice. Popcorn is one of our favorites. Simple and inexpensive. Dad grew it one year and we kids gave ourselves blisters rubbing the dry kernals off the cob.

I'd like to get a bit more simplified. We are trying to pare down somewhat - We love antique and thrift shops, but often find things we like but don't really need - and we get some. Not good. LOL!

I have found since I aged that simplicity makes life a lot easier and more enjoyable. Today's culture has so much to offer and do, but it can be overwhelming and exhausting at the same time.

Yes, it looks like I am able to post here again and last night, my photos worked so I am going to try again here and see what happens.

WooHoo, it worked!! With February moving into place, it won't be long in some areas to see baby violets poking out in the woods protected my other things like leaves. WE have wild violets down here in Florida that are usually visible by late February for a short while.

I love the picture and poem. Thanks, Deniae.

Living simply is a wonderful way of life. I try, unfortunately my fabric and aewing machinea say I don’t do it very well. LOL!

I am trying to simplify other areas.

So glad you are back to posting again.
I find I need to get back to not being involved in so many things. But I have some things I can't change right now like teaching Wednesday nights. So, I need to back off in other areas.

Winnie Your violette picture is pretty. I need to go look under the oxalis and see if any violets have survived.
A few years ago I prioritized to make my life simpler. I eliminated a few groups, activities, and even some people. I don't miss any of them now and my life is much simpler and happier.
