I think a lot about Angels as I truly believe that I have many that get me through my day, my hurts and pain. These are the ones with wings, my love ones who are no longer on this earth but always with me. Like my Birth Mom who passed away when I was 4 years old, 66 years ago, and I do still remember her and feel her with me always guiding me and loving me from afar. Then I have my very dear friends like Wildflowers that do not have wings but are always with me. Everyday I know all of you are there just like I am with all of you. Angels are My Blessings. Wildflowers what are your ideas about Angels?

I believe that we are never alone. That we have angels or spirits that are with us always. Feathers do make me think of my brother who took his own life in 2002. Then there are the dragonflies (John’s grandfather) and butterflies (John’s grandmother). When I see them, I feel as though they are saying hello! :) |

I totally believe in the Holy Spirit that dwells within us to guide us and protect us, and also loved ones as angels watching over us. Bentley’s dad is always near in the form of a Mockingbird. After he lost both legs and was confined to a wheelchair, he would roll outside each day to get some sunshine. It was Springtime so he was enjoying all of the changes happening every day. He would share many stories every evening when we would visit, of what he saw that day. This was a man who worked hard his whole life and never stopped to “smell the roses”. He was having a wonderful time watching nature spring to life. His favorite was watching a Mockingbird raise out her babies and teach them to fly. This time spent outdoors taught him not to feel sorry for himself, and prompted him to get fitted with prosthetic legs. He did so well with them that he went on to have his car upfitted with hand controls. He lived for two and a half more years. My son Will was seven years old when he passed on and was very heartbroken. They spent a lot of time together going to McDonalds and hanging out together. As we drove into our driveway after the funeral, a Mockingbird was singing in the Dogwood tree right beside the walkway! Then two weeks after the funeral, Will was playing with his Legos in the living room at Grandmaw’s house. He said Grandpaw walked in the room, did not speak, but was smiling and pointed to his legs, to show that he had two healthy legs again! Will turned to call Grandmaw from the kitchen to say” look who’s here”, looked back and Grandpaw was gone. When he tried to explain, she told him, “don’t be silly”, but Bentley and I truly believe he appeared to Will to give him peace. Plus we still see a Mockingbird everywhere we go! |

Thank you both for sharing your beautiful stories, I have goosebumps reading them. You see I do not think I feel anything or see things that remind me of my mom, I just know in my heart that my mom is here with me watching over me. Being only 4 when she passed I really did not know anything about her nor do I now. But she is here always. Good Night Wildflowers. |

This is how I am sometimes when I am sad or have some heavy things I need to work out. I have my quiet place I go to just be alone with myself for awhile. I find it really helps me. |

I also believe in angels-both with and without wings! For me, I think of my grandma every time I see or hear a cardinal. There's no wonderful story like the others that were shared that explains why. I really don't know why. I think it's kind of like Debbie said, I just know she's with me and seeing the cardinal is her way of saying hi when I'm not thinking of her. And I see them almost every day :) |

Wanda, that is a beautiful story! I totally believe that your son saw his grandfather. What a special gift! |
