It's been a long time since I posted here. Have had a lot of family stuff happening but wanted to get back to it.

Pumpkins are a fruit: They are technically a fruit because they develop from a flower and contain seeds.
They are 90% water: This high water content makes them a low-fat and low-calorie food.
Origin: The word "pumpkin" comes from the Greek word "pepon," meaning "large melon".
Global growth: Pumpkins are grown on every continent except Antarctica.
Edible flowers and seeds: The flowers that bloom on the vine are edible, and the seeds can be roasted for a healthy snack.
Not just orange: While we often see orange pumpkins, they can also be white, yellow, green, and even blue.
The largest pumpkin: The world's heaviest pumpkin weighed over 2,700 pounds, and the largest pie was 3,699 pounds and 20 feet long.
The "pumpkin" spice myth: Canned pumpkin and pumpkin spice lattes do not contain any actual pumpkin.
Stems have names: The stem of a pumpkin is called a peduncle.
Native American use: Native Americans called pumpkins "isqoutm squash" and used them for both food and medicine, and they also dried them into mats.
