Andreea, your photo is so pretty because it really is how fall colors begin their process for the year's end. Down here in Florida we don't have these scenic seasonal moments and I sure do miss them from my growing up in Virginia.

I miss all the colors changing like they did up in Illinois when I was growing up.

Our colors are changing now that we have had some much needed rain. They are really starting to change the scenery here.

Linda, I miss them too. Those trees that gave us the colored leaves just can't thrive here in the deep South. We have too much humidity and heat for many long months. Denise enjoy those wonderful tree changes for me and Linda!! LOL!!

I love the Chinese lantern plant. I think my grandmother in Illinois had them in her garden. She won prizes at the fair every year for her dried flower arrangements, and often used the Chinese lanterns and money plant in her arrangements.

We had both of those growing behind our garage in NJ. One of the things I miss about that place.

Nothing gold can stay

Nature's first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf's a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then Leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay."

*Poem/'Nothing Gold Can Stay,' by Robert Frost

I love the colors of Fall. Many of them are not here in Texas as much as they were in Illinois where I grew up.

Well, found out on Friday a little about why I have been coughing for over a month. Yes, it is allergies; but it is also because of some problems inside my nose. I saw an ENT/Allergist that Ed assisted in the OR before he retired. I am having nasal surgery on Halloween morning - UGH! Hopefully this will solve some of my allergy problems each season change.

Thank you, Denise.

I love all the cute Fall things you are finding, Denise. And the Fall weather is getting here tomorrow evening, according to the weatherman. I wish the Fall temps would hurry and come to stay.

I hope they do get there. It is staying in the 50s 60s during the day here now. We've only had one frost and that has brought out the color in the trees.

It has been a busy week. Monday I did some chores and then had lunch with my dd and son in love. Tuesday I headed to Costco and then cleaned the freezers out a bit. Wednesday was more shopping for ingredients to make some freezer meals. I'm not big on cooking so any shortcuts to healthy meals made at home are a plus for me. Taught class to the 1st-3rd graders as I do every Wednesday night. I love teaching them. Think I missed my calling, though I did teach my own children by homeschooling. So here we are at Thursday and I have a few more meals to put together. Found some gluten free to have for when the granddaughter comes for an overnight. She is finally healing and growing but of course Celiac never goes away. Then I have some lessons to go over and then if there is any day left I will be found in the craft room! Also the place where I keep me exercise equipment!

YOu sure have been busy, Denise. Good for you.

Yesterday Ed and I Early Voted, took a quilt to the PO to mail to a farmsister, Ed put new spark plugs in my 2017 Honda CRV, and had lunch at Arbys.
Today we took my CRV in for it's 100,000 mile checkup and had lunch at Olive Garden.

I have had a nervous stomach the past few days - I think I am a bit at ease about my sinus surgery tomorrow. They are not putting me completely under anesthesia, just giving me some other calming drug, pain meds, antibiotic, nasal spray, steroids, and nausea meds. The drugs alone cost me $50! Please pray and cross your fingers for me, because I do not know quite what to expect.
