Received my Dec/Jan issue just yesterday and when I curled up to look it over before bed, I opened my renewal notice - only to read that this would be the last print issue. So sad to read this as it is truly one of my favorite magazines!

Will cherish my copies even more now!

Oh no! Did I miss an issue or renewal notice?! I have enjoyed these issues so much and was working up the courage to participate in one of the reader submission areas. What a pity.

Are you all subscribing to other magazines? What are your favorites?

I get Cooks Illustrated and usually pick up a few helpful tips with each issue. Fallon gets Ranger Rick. I was contemplating going to the library this weekend and trying to compare a NY Times Sunday edition to Economist to New Yorker to Atlantic for something to broaden my horizons (current events, geography), but then I look at my TBR pile and realize I probably wouldn't spend enough time with any of these to justify the expense.

I just received my issue this week so it might just be arriving in mailboxes.

I do receive Southern Living (for the recipes) and Daphne's Diary (for paper crafting inspiration - although I can never seem to let myself cut them up). Both of these are gift subscriptions from my dad and he just keeps renewing them.

I recently subscribed to A Primitive Place - that's really my decorating style but when I moved in with my sister I let almost all of my stuff go. It still makes my heart happy so it's nice to see pictures of it. I am tempted to resubscribe to Primitive Punch Needle and Cross Stitch - but I feel like I have too much on my plate (and in my stash) creatively!

Guess I should really learn to use the magazine feature on Libby :)

I see what you mean on Primitive Place styling! I struggle with feeling "shouldy" about Libby as well -- there is something about eReaders and audiobooks that makes it hard for me to stick with them, I'm forever clicking away on some other distracting rabbit trail or forgetting to look up the latest issue. A physical book or magazine in my pile of fun in progress is just so much more compelling. Maybe some other sisters have cracked the code on this digital frontier?

The notice said that this Dec/Jan 2026 was the last one and that if we had any issues left in our subscriptions it would be replaced by Magnolia magazine. If you already receive Magnolia, they will just extend that subscription for the number of issues you had left.

It breaks my heart to hear that the MaryJane Magazine is coming to an end. I have been receiving this beautiful magazine since about 2008 & I have loved absolutely every issue. Even the paper felt nice between your fingers. It was an old copy of the magazine that my husband's aunty gave me when I first moved to Olympia, WA, in 2006 that sparked my interest. I found the Sisterhood through the magazine & have been blessed with many friendships over the years; not to mention the amazing recipes, arts/crafts ideas, general trivia & articles of interest, creative stories & tips I have enjoyed along the way. I will be looking out for my final copy in the mailbox (yes, they even mail it to Australia). We will miss you, MaryJane!

The MaryJane's Farm magazine isn't coming to an end guys!! Auntie MJ is now self-publishing!! You can find the magazine listings here to purchase them.
https://shop.maryjanesfarm.org/Magazine

She will not be doing a subscription, so you will have to order them issue by issue. Right now the plan is to have 4 magazines a year. I will share the link for the Dec/Jan one in case you haven't received one and need to order one. The next one will be available April 1st!

That is great news! Life just got more wonderful. I love the idea of having the option to order a stack of back issues and save on shipping since my bandwidth to read ebbs and flows with the seasons. Then again, having the current issue is pretty important for staying on top of reader contributions.

This makes me so sad, I love my issues and use the art for collages and save my articles in my notebook for future references. Sad indeed
