We will not be able to see The Wolf Moon tonight due to the rain and clouds here on the coast.

First Full Moon of 2025 Tonight: The Wolf Moon
The Wolf Moon is the traditional name for the first full moon of the year, occurring in January, named for the howling of wolves often heard during the harsh winter months due to food scarcity, according to Native American and European traditions and the Old Farmer's Almanac, marking deep winter when wolves are active. This month's Wolf Moon is special as it's also a supermoon, appearing larger and brighter as it's near Earth's closest point.

Big Hugs,

It's clear enough to see here. It is the first supermoon of the year and is bright enough to see Jupiter.
JT and I were talking about it Friday morning when we left to head home. The moon was up and looked full and I was asking him when the full moon was supposed to be. We drove for quite awhile before it went down but the moonlight was beautiful in the very early morn.

It is cloudy here too, but we will be on the lookout! We watched Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban last night, which was unintentionally on-theme.

Something so special about our full moons... I'll have to take a peak... I've not ventured out and have unplugged for the new year weekend. Happy New year wishes to all. May this new year bring us all health, joy and comfort. Praying for some bright skies ahead for us all! xo

If anyone was able to see and take photos of the Wolf Moon where you live, please share.
