February sped by so quickly. Maybe because it was a busy month. Almost half the birthdays in our family are in February. That makes for a busy time.

March is coming in cold but clear here. But though the first three days will be nice the rest of the week will be rainy. For us spring means tornado weather.

It has been very quiet here in henhouse. I hope everyone is doing well and looking forward to spring. Don't forget to spring ahead next weekend!

Rain expected here this week, too. We have Dr. and financial Appts on Wednesday and then I really need to pack, since we leave on Saturday for Florida to visit friends and stay with Ed's son, and then to our cruise that begins on Tuesday.

We have had some beautiful unseasonable weather in the 70s; a promise of spring. The plum tree and daffodils are blooming.

We are off to a warm March compared to January and February down here in Florida. We had many long deep freezes that hurt many blooming plants like our Azaleas and some of the flowering trees. But that trend seems to be recovering and we are seeing temps in the 70s with 80 forecast by the end of this week. We are , however, in what they call a severe drought situation. If anyone has any extra rain, PLEASE send it our way because we really need it ASAP!

Winnie,
Sorry to hear you are already experiencing drought conditions. We are having rain here into next week. After all the snow we've had I doubt we need it but who knows. I have had some time this week to get into my craft room and get it organized a bit. I really need to do a deep clean in there. Also, trying to downsize some of it. I don't know but things seem to grow fast in there. Lol. I have a couple of machines I need to find homes for so they aren't sitting in boxes until I need them.

Happy March, Ladies!!
We're heading into autumn over here in Australia, yet it's still warm & humid. We really don't have 4 distinct seasons here in Queensland specifically. It's basically just summer, summer, summer, & a mild winter. We always complain about how bitterly cold our winters are, but after living in the snow in the U.S., we really have nothing to complain about.

We are definitely having spring weather. Rain and wind is typical for March in our neck of the woods. And today is no exception. We are getting both with gusts up to 60mph today. I am staying in where it is warm and cozy. Spending some time in the office then the craft room.
We are expecting snow next week.

Hope everyone is well, it has been awfully quiet here in the henhouse.

Here's a sweet photo to brighten the day.

We had snow today. For a while it was very heavy, then it mostly melted away.

Yes, I wish some of the excess rain in various states could be shared down here. It feels very unusual to not have spring rains like we usually do. Some areas of the nation are still getting very cold spells while others are normal and we are drying up.It has been a crazy year of weather from 2025 into 2026.

I think it has alot to do with the La Nina system this year. It's why we had more snow than normal and we still haven't had real spring weather yet. We've had some warm days 70s and 80s but they are sporadic in between the 40s and low 50s. I'm looking for 60s but who knows of we will get that or just jump into summer temps this year? I don't like the storms that come through from the hot to cold. Tornado watches and warnings already.

It's hard to believe it's getting toward the end of the month already and we haven't had a drop of rain in almost two months. Looks like we'll have water rationing again. We had 80s for much of the month; not normal at all. It's like we had two days of spring and jumped right into summer. Wacky weather. My orchids and pink jasmine are blooming about two months early, but the orchids are blooming like they never have before so it's not that unwelcome. I don't think we had but a night or two of frost so a very warm winter too.
