Just wanted to wish everyone a happy pie day! I treated myself to a slice of blueberry crumble pie today.

For fun- what's your favorite pie to eat or make? It's hard for me to choose! I just love a good pie (probably even more than cake).

So for today - I will choose lemon meringue.

I do not like most pie, but Pecan I like a lot, but I do not eat the crush.

There is a cute little pie shop here in Tyler (yes I am still up here preparing for the barn sale) and sometimes I buy a pie for my friend's husband who helps out with our projects (and my car).

For Pi weekend, they were selling slices for $3.14 and discounting whole pie prices for the same amount. Such a neat idea!

And in July, they do a Christmas in July tasting where you can sample all of the holiday pie flavors and put in your orders for the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays.

Yummy!

Happy belated Pi day! We had a *pizza* pie last night; my favorite and my husband's specialty...

Although pecan does have its appeal and both my mothers in law specialize in baking it, so we usually have quite a bit over the holidays. I love the idea of Christmas in July previews.
