Wildflowers I wanted to share with all of you that my family and I to include Our 17 year old Bella Girl are leaving Friday May 8 returning Monday May 11 for a few days R & R to see the Redwoods. Now we have been there 2 or 3 times already but it never gets old. We did not want to go too far from home and the CA border is only 3 hours away. We have not been on a little family vacation in quite a few years. So off we will go to another one of our peaceful and happy places the Redwood Forest. And I thought it was a great way to spend Mother’s Day.
We are really looking forward to it and I hope to not be on social media (facebook). I may stop by the HH to post some photos time to time.

****The reason I tell you this is while I am away if you need anything HH related Heather will help you. Thank you so much Heather I appreciate you.****

Big Hugs,
Debbie

Yes, Bella does like to go on walks/hikes but slower for sure. Although this little girl can out runs us if she gets off lead. But, she will not get off lead ever, I will not lose her for sure.
I cannot wait.

So excited for you Debbie, be sure to hug one (or all of them) and feel their energy - so strong and historic. You can feel the depth of their strength, calmness. It was really overwhelming for me, and I found being in their presence was absolutely magnificent, breathtaking, healing. Beyond words really! I would love to go back one day. It was one of the magical places I've been to. I hope you absolutely LOVE being their presence. Enjoy the beautiful trip with your family! XO

Hello Wildflowers, I have missed all of you:-)
I did manage to get my postcards finished to all of you and mailed from California.
Here are a couple of photos to hold you off until I can get organized. We had a fabulous time and we are already talking about another trip next year!

Of course we made time for the beach too. And this is Bella resting after a romp through the Redwoods and the Beach. She was a good girl, had fun and enjoyed being with her family.
Good Night until tomorrow:-)

Big Hugs,
Debbie

I just had to share with you that Bella Girl became a Bark Ranger, she got a tag for her collar and everything. She followed all the rules of the Forest!

She is such a good old girl:-)

Yes, April I did feel something that radiates through the trees. I hug many as I felt calm and peace, just so grounded. We miss them already.

For the Wildflowers who do not know on May 4th 4 days before we left on vacation, I took a bad fall on our front porch which is concrete. I tripped on the stairs and slammed my face on the concrete when I fell. Not fun and the pain was some of the worse pain I have had in a long time. Both legs below my knees are all bruised as is my right thigh and still painful. It was not fun!! After an exam by my doctors Fischer & Fischer, they declared I had no broken bones or concussion. Whew, I got lucky again but it was so painful. The picture was taken today one week after the fall. Many colors! And yes this is the face I took with me on vacation. As short of being in the hospital I was going in vacation no matter what. As you can see in the above photos I wore a hat and big sunglasses. But it did not cover it all and yes I was stared at for 4 days but I did not care. When someone ask me what happened I told them I walked into a Redwood Tree. And that’s my story and I am sticking to it!!

Big Hugs,
Debbie

Oh Debbie so glad it was only surface scars and bruises, and love your story for the curious, lol. Also, I hope the pain is gone now!

Oh that is so sweet Bella is an official "Bark Ranger". Glad she did well on your trip.

I think Kent and Tom may have to get some bubble wrap for you Debbie! I do hope the pain has subsided considerably by now. Hopefully the trip took your mind off of it for a bit.

Funny story, when my daughter, Leslie was 19 she got the chicken pox. She had never had them prior and at the time a couple of her friends also had them. We were having a party for her brother who was healed up by then and some of her friends were there. One kid said something about her not looking like she had chicken pox and she said "they don't call it covergirl for nothing"!
Seeing your bruises reminded me of that Debbie. I hope that made you smile a little. And I sure hope your healing is quick and complete. (((Hugs)))

What a cool Bark ranger program! I had no idea you were experimenting with a new "spring colors" makeup! It is a relief to hear it wasn't more serious!

Are your Fischer & Fischer doctors in-house counsel or do you really have doctors that share your last name?

By the way, your tea arrived and I am looking forward to a tasty decaf option this hectic afternoon. When I mapped Redwood NP from my house it is a 12 hour drive or a 287 hour walk, but I have a big map of the PCT on the wall next to my desk and I will get to that Redwood detour and hug a tree myself someday!

Oh Debbie I am so very sorry. That looks painful. I am happy to hear it wasn't worse and that you could still go on your trip. Hopefully it's all feeling better now.

I have been to Redwood Forest many years ago! I was still in high school. And we got to drive through that tree. It was such a neat experience.
