It seems not everyone for some reason or another can get into our Book Discussion Thread.
So, I am posting a Book review here that Jean Pici sent me, sounds like a great book. I have heard of it but never read it. I ordered it from Thrift Books this morning.

Jean write:
I ran across this delightful book quite by accident while surfing the net. If you and/or your Wildflowers are lovers of Margaret Mitchell's classic,
"GoneWith the Wind", then you will adore this book --
Scarlett: The Sequel to Margaret Mitchell's Gone with the Wind
by Alexandra Ripley
I've often wondered whatever happened to Scarlett. Finally, we get the rest of the story. She tries desperately and unsuccessfully to reunite with Rhett Butler, but he still doesn't "give a damn." About half way through the book Scarlett moves to Ireland, the land of fairies and leprechauns and long-held superstitions. With her typical manic energy "The O'Hara" as she comes to be known, calibrates her moral compass and carves out an empire and . . . well, you just have to read the book to see how it all turns out.

If anyone wants to read it when I am finished let me know and I will pass it on to you. We can just pass it on to anyone who wants to read it.

Big Hugs,
Debbie

I read that one a very long time ago, so of course I have forgotten most of the details. I’ll have to check my bookshelves to see if I still have it. Then I will re-read it.

I read that book while laying on the couch completely miserable with covid a few years ago. Rough time, but great book! Way better than the beef book (for the badge) I'm trying to work though right now LOL!

I read this years ago. I just remember bits and pieces but loved it.
