My middle granddaughter loves to garden. She's the one who helped me plant all those potatoes last spring. She's a worker. She wanted to go out in the garden today and plant something. So we found some spinach seeds and got the tools. Went out there to a raised bed and got all the weeds out and all cleaned up. Then planted the seeds. She loves doing things like that. I hope she still does when she gets older. And I hope the seeds come up, too.

No Alee. It's Coryn. She just turned 8 and she's my special middle grand. I am a middle, too, so we have a special thing going on. I really think she will be a great gardener. She also helps at her home up on the mountain. Her uncle has a few big gardens up there and she likes to help him, too.

Kansas can't concentrate on one thing for very long. She helps for a little while then she's on to greener pastures.

She is a great help out there. Last spring she wanted to help with 5 rows 125' long of potatoes. She dropped them in the rows and raked them over with soil. She worked a few hours in the hot sun. She a great worker. She helped load hay today, too. And unloaded the whole truck and took most of it around back to the hay barn on a 2-wheeler. Even threw one bale up on another one. She's very strong.
