I made some Heirloom and Organic Seed Tapes and they worked great! I make them for little seeds (hard to see like radishes, carrots etc) that need to be spaced 1-2 inches apart.

Heres how: Get some toilet paper (or newspaper) and mark with a dot where you want to place your seeds. Then mix some flour and water to make a paste. Dab a little of the paste mixture on the marked dot and place a seed.

Make the tape as long or short as you want. Then place in raised bed, or row garden, cover with the needed amount of organic soil, and watch them grow.

Don't forget to save some seeds for next year or for a seed swap!

I planted one Heirloom tomato plant in my small garden this year and my Roma tomato plants are 4 times bigger than my Heirloom. Do they take some kind of extra special care that I don't know about. This is the first time I have tried to grow Heirloom anything but I tasted a neighbors heirloom tomatoes last year and loved the various colors and flavors.

Thanks,
Peggy
