Posted - Aug 04 2010 : 11:49:28 PM Lavender scrunchii's - that's a neat idea. I have been sifting dry lavender buds for a few days now and my nose is a bit over whelmed. I am up to just under 2 gallon jars full of cleaned buds. And up to 15 wands so far. I think my nose needs a day off for a day or two! A wee bit of olifactory overload.....

Posted - Aug 02 2010 : 2:12:19 PM Hey Marlies, I just got back from a Glamping trip over on the Elk River In ID....BEA...U..TI...FUL!
Brenda, mostly for sachets, spritzes, sleep masks, as well as tea and baking(cheesecake-my fav)...oh & I just started making those Hair Scrunchii's, the ones made from fabric w/a piece of elastic inside...I fill the Scrunchii w/ about 1/4 cup of dried lavender buds. So each time you wrap your hair up in a ponytail using the scrunchii, the lavender wafts around your hair.

Wow, I felt so peaceful just thinking of your bench in your lavender field. Very inspirational, and I just love your babies! How cute they are!

Posted - Jul 29 2010 : 8:00:54 PM wow. Your lavender field is beautiful. I started with two in my herb garden last year and added three or four more this summer. They grow slowly, but I'm going to keep going, especially with your beautiful encouraging plants in my mind. Suzanne |

Posted - Jul 29 2010 : 5:55:03 PM Lovely plants, Grace. I am up to my elbows in lavender too. I am weaving wands as we speak. Every year I try to put in at least 10 plants. I lost some last winter too due to lack of snow to insulate them plus relentless late frosts.
Blessings, Sheri

Posted - Jul 29 2010 : 2:21:08 PM Beautiful Grace!! I loooove Lavender too! I started with 2 plants last year, added a Provence this year, my dream is to have many, many plants....after seeing your blog and photos I know it is now possible! How do you use your cuttings? Do you dry them? Do you sell them?
