Our farmers market had a farmer who was selling "fill a bag" for $4.00. I chose a bunch of baby patty pans among other veggies. Now, what to do with them?

Slice them thin, toss with seasoned salt, coat with flour and fry until crispy. I've also diced them and seasoned and coated them along with okra and fried them.

They are very good cut up in a salad while they are small. Also cube them add some onions and fry in butter till tender. I grow them each year.
Enjoy!

All of these sound so good, I'll have to get some patty pans at the next Farmer's Market and perhaps grow some next year. Suzanne

Stir fry with sweet onions (Walla-Walla's) and chopped garlic. You can even stir fry them with only water if you don't want the oils. I add a little celery at the end to make it crunchy, oh, and celery seed.

Great in a vegetable soup.

I sometimes slice my horizonal. Make the slices about 1/2 inch thick. Then I batter and fry them. I call them my surprise doughnuts. Oh, forgot, I cut the center seeds out (makes a hole). They really do look like a doughnut.

Roast them...............sprinkle with olive oil & garlic & roast on grill or oven.............yummy.
I have also fried ( I know-not healthy) in a little butter with garlic & yummy.
