My Mom gave me her composter. She can't find the book to it. It looks like this one: http://www.composters.com/compost-tumblers/backyard-compost-tumbler---55-gallon_30_2.php Can you point me towards some directions? Can I start using it now, with winter coming?

I need help.

I am not familiar with that type of tumbler, but when the weather drops below 60 degree your composting pretty much comes to a stop. But you can still add greens(nitrogens) and browns(carbons) to the barrel until full. When spring comes it will start breaking down again, that way you do not have to lose the any of your kitchen scraps. There has to be some type of name somewhere on the barrel. If not just read up on composting. It is all the same. You just need the right ratio.
