Posted - Jan 03 2008 : 10:19:31 AM Well I am finally posting some of my finds on my Strawberry Hills blog. It has been awhile since I have been to a thrift store and the last time I got a bundle of how to pamphlets and some books. I love A Child's Garden of Verses. If anyone wants the quilting book--e-mail me---they are full of patterns, too. Just wanted you to know I am still getting around. Me and Bingo!! ha MB

Posted - Jan 05 2008 : 09:54:32 AM I'm new here and this is my first post, and I did want to say I love ALL your finds. I do like children's poetry books in general, and that one in particular.

Posted - Jan 04 2008 : 9:21:55 PM Nice find, MB! I especially like those vintage children's books. They have always been my favorites. I should have been a librarian!

Posted - Jan 03 2008 : 4:08:37 PM Nancy Jo, I love those books too. Lainey, those are some of the bajillion fairies I have collected. I love them and I am picky--they have to be sweet faced. Janice, I really am going to try the Chinese Painting--I am an optimist too. Jonni, I am like you---just who would give them away. Here they would wear out first. MB

Posted - Jan 03 2008 : 12:19:42 PM That's my favorite book! I have my mom's, which was her mother's, copyrighted in 1920. I just bought my godson for his Christening Gift, a version illustrated (and signed) by Tasha Tudor.
Such great finds!!! It always surprises me...WHO would give those away? So glad someone like you found them!!!

Posted - Jan 03 2008 : 12:12:28 PM Great job of shelf decorating, Mary Beth. The Chinese Brush Painting book looks interesting. I recently got a book club offer in the mail(the kind where I pick four free ones and buy 2 later), and they had a book on that subject. I'm thinking about ordering it. I'm such an optimist! LOL
