Posted - Aug 21 2008 : 06:45:32 AM I hesitated to share until it was all set in stone. Well it's set in stone, we are moving 1 week from today and we couldn't be more excited. Now we will be from Montana! Yeah!
We love our new job and can't wait to start this chapter of life. If you have time, I posted a little on my blog with a link, take a looksie. It's a dream come true.
Just want to give you all hope, if your hanging on by a thread, not sure what the future holds. Be patient. It's better then what you thought.
Can't wait to meet some Montana farmgirls!

Posted - Aug 21 2008 : 07:58:00 AM Theresa, I checked out the Special K Ranch a little bit and it looks like an amazing place to live or work. My husband works in a dayhab facility, and I know he will love this when I show it to him. Everybody needs to be challenged and given responsibilities, even if they are disabled. That's something that's lacking in a lot of programs for the mentally retarded.
My brother has Down Syndrome, and he lives in a group home run by Heritage Christian Services. His house is located at the same site as their equestrian program. They have a barn, and they help take care of the horses and take riding lessons. His group home does quite a bit of travelling (to Disney land, camping trips, etc.) I wonder if they could visit the ranch? |
