Posted - Nov 01 2005 : 2:09:47 PM ha! i have to tell ya'll ya-ya's .. that i've gotten about three e-mails from some of you asking why i ask so many questions! well, nope .. i'm not writing a book or magazine article .. or even an expose on anyone .. it's just always been my belief that we learn by experience .. and also by ASKING QUESTIONS .. (and i don't mean for my capitol letters to be yelling .. just excitement and where i would put 'emphasis' on a word in face to face conversation.)
i also am very fond of 'story telling' .. and "questions" usually strike a chord and get us to telling 'our stories' .. whether we are with someone across the table with a cup of tea .. or sitting in this new-fangled 'cyberspace' tea room.
(have any of you ever heard of "Every Woman Has a Story" and "Cameo Stories"? It is all about writing our stories so we are never lost 'to time'. (i.e. after we are gone from this earth) And it is, indeed a 'book of quesitons' .. and it is also a WONDERFUL book .. if you can find it.
and the BIGGIE would be ... my deep belief that asking questions, answering questions, sharing ideas and stories 'sparked' by a question .. is how:
"girlfriends become girlfriends" ..
don't think i've ever made a deep friendship with someone that i didn't share my views and stories with .. and they with me.
so .. nope! no ulterior motive here .. just an attempt to share who i am .. and to learn who you are (otherwise, we are just a 'forum name' to each other).
now i can surely expound my own ideas and beliefs and thoughts and knowledge .. without ever asking a question .. but then "asking questions" is a way to learn of "your" beliefs, thoughts and knowlege.
And .. when i read the description for "Across the Fence" .. it says:
How do you connect with the farmgirls and families in your neighborhood? (hmmmm .. is that a question mark i spy?) Ever have everyone over for a barbecue, a game of driveway basketball, or just a chitchat on the front porch? ('nuther question) ...
And when we do connect .. and have chit-chat .. isn't it often sprinkled with lots of questions (and answers)?
So worry-ith not.. you won't become a 'character' in a book written by me .. or end up on the cover of "The National Enquirer" ..
but .. we might just become great friends!
p.s. i reeeeeeeely do know that 'worry-ith' isn't a real word!
xo, frannie
