Posted - Nov 11 2005 : 9:58:25 PM Wasn't sure where to post this 'game' .. i pondered and pondered .. and came up with the 'across the fence' forum.
Thought it would be fun to 'lean over the fence or through the clothesline' and share memories of "a special woman who has crossed our path in this lifetime and who taught us an important life-lesson".
And i am a true believer that women belong in any 'room of the house' or anywhere on this earth she chooses to be ... (other than just the kitchen and bedroom) ... and with that said .. the prize will be of a 'domestic goddess' type: a vintage feedsack apron and some vintage cookbooklets (remember those!)
at the end of the month, i'll make sure i have all the 'stories' listed in this 'thread' .. and will put everyone's name in a 'basket' .. and have a drawing for the winner. (my e-mail is 'down' right now .. has some sort of a glitch that i haven't been able to figure out .. so, i won't be able to send pictures of the prizes by e-mail .. and have not begun to figure out .. even after reading the directions .. on how to post pictures here. (i love the easy way this can be done on the 'delphi chat boards' .. it's all right there .. we just click on attachments .. and upload our pictures right there! (jus' can't teach an olde dawg new tricks!)
well, anyhoo ... i'll be looking forward to hearing your stories soon! xo, frannie |

Posted - Nov 12 2005 : 11:04:59 AM You are right, Bramble - it is called Who was/is Your Mentor, and is under Family matters. Cabincreek, you may want to find it and read....it has some really nice posts there about women who were inspirations in the lives of many who post here.
