Howdy,

This might seem like an odd request and I hope I have the right forum. My husband is planning on building a round barn one day, in keeping with other historic round barns. It is a pipe dream right now, as is our future farmhouse, but it's fun and grand to dream, isn't it?

He is hoping to purchase some old wooden/metal (ideally) cow stanchions to put in it. With so many barns/dairies going out of business, we are hoping there might be some out there to purchase.

We are within an easy day's drive of most Southern and Midwestern locations and would be glad to purchase and pick them up if you have any leads/any to sell.

Many thanks and blessings,

Catherine

Hi Catherine,

I was wondering if your husband ever got the cow stanchions he was looking for. I notice that your post was still active on The Farmgirl Connection.
My name is Rick and just recently one of my associates, Walter and I were blessed to be able to salvage 20 or so old wooden and metal stanchions with racks, watering bowls, chains, etc.

On of your bloggers was in the process of building an historic replica of a round dairy barn. We would be interested in making this equipment available.

Please take a look at the following Youtube URL to get an idea of what we have available and if there is any interest still.

Thank you for reviewing my request. Please let us know if there is still a need. We also have a 1952 BB1 Vacuum milk pump as well.
