Posted - Aug 13 2009 : 10:24:22 PM The weirdest thing I can think of is tuna sandwich with sliced apple.
My dad however... his favorite sandwich is three slices of yucky store bought white bread, one slice with mustard, one with peanut butter, and one with pickle relish. Yuck!
As a kid my sister liked catsup sandwiches. Yep, that's all.
Which does remind me we kids use to make sugar sandwiches. Spread butter and sprinkle with sugar. Found out awhile back that that is a very british thing. Hmm.

Posted - Aug 13 2009 : 2:42:04 PM I love to dip my pizza in ranch dressing cottage cheese and applesauce I love to drink dill pickle juice and if you add a smidge of water to the bottom of the salsa jar, I'll drink that too. I guess I'm too weird in other ways to have a weird food hankering!

Posted - Aug 13 2009 : 2:36:10 PM okay, i like to eat vanilla ice cream with potatoe chips in the bottom of the bowl. what i think is weird though is that i am 58 years old and i have never eaten a peanut butter or peanut butter and jelly sandwhich and no tuna of anykind. maybe one day i will try them. also not so keen on jello, it doesnt really seem like food to me.

Posted - Aug 12 2009 : 10:28:41 AM My late husband and my son both liked roast gravy on choclate cake with chocolate icing. They put grape jelly in their tuna noodle casserole. Also, with the big Sunday dinner that I baked the chocolate cake for - mashed potates topped with cream corn and smothered in aforesaid roast gravy.
As for me, as a teenager my best friend and I liked pickle chips with tuna on it - kind of like little pickle sandwiches.

Posted - Aug 12 2009 : 08:41:37 AM Some of these combos, yeah, they're definitely weird. But some that ya'll think are weird, I always thought was "normal". Like chocolate gravy on hot homemade biscuits and pb and banana sandwiches and pb and honey sandwiches and potato chips and candy and tomato & mayo sandwiches and a Frosty w/fries.
I also like banana and mayo sandwiches, honey on my fried chicken, cornbread crumbled up in a tall glass of milk, and cheddar cheese w/chocolate chip cookies. When I was a teenager, I'd eat Heinz 57 and butter sandwiches. And my baby brother would eat pb and bologna sandwiches.
But the thing I get teased for the most is that I believe that you can only eat certain chips with certain kinds of sandwiches. For example, cheddar & sour cream chips w/pb & jelly. Or BBQ chips w/banana and mayo. Or sour creame & onion w/fried bologna sandwiches. You get the picture.
The other thing I get teased for is putting **GASP** sugar in my grits. (I know! A true Southerner does not engage in such behaviors!)

Posted - Aug 12 2009 : 07:41:23 AM OK- Are any of you ladies pregnant by any chance? You all have some odd combinations going on. Someone turned me on to mayo on my corn on the cob. That is probably about as weird as it gets for me.

Posted - Aug 11 2009 : 7:17:20 PM Oh boy, you ladies are a...... inventive that's it!lol. I thought my pepsi and milk was odd. I did that as a kid. My grandson would be right there with you girls on the dipping french fries in the chocolate shake(Wendy's Frosty) And he eats ketchup by the buckets full on everything!! I don't think ketchup on any kind of egg is weird, that's good. Here's a good one, my dad used to put ketchup on cottage cheese. This is a fun topic!

Posted - Aug 07 2009 : 8:38:24 PM I thought I had some strange likings but you guys have me beat by a mile! Usually I just sort of graze all day long with a real dinner with hubby in the evening. Nothing really odd or strange combos.
I gotta tell you, some of those combos are just...something else!!
I like mac and cheese with diced tomatoes tossed in. Apples and PB?? That's about it for me!

Posted - Aug 07 2009 : 8:23:12 PM What a weird topic. I thought I liked everything except breaded tomatoes but you gals have come up with some stuff that I wouldn't even try. Must be something wrong with me. Does Peanut butter and apple count? Or maybe grape jelly on toast and bacon? That don't sound weird to me like yours do. LOL

Posted - Aug 07 2009 : 3:16:57 PM I like: cheese on my apple pie ketchup on my fried egg sandwiches miracle whip mixed into my mashed potato OR blue cheese salad dressing in my mashed potato butter on saltines cucumber/mayo sandwiches tomato/mayo sandwiches dill pickle/mayo sandwiches butter and jelly sandwiches
My dad LOVES mashed 'taters so we had them several times a week when I was growing up, needless to say I got tired of eating them so I would add things to them to make them taste better so I could eat them. The only other thing I guess I added (but wasn't as much of a favorite) was Ketchup in my mashed potato.
