Posted - Apr 29 2010 : 06:05:42 AM Does anyone remember the TV show Green Acres?
Well we didn't own a Tv when I was a child so I missed out on the fun but I bought the DVD for Dearest this winter and we are having a blast watching it. Even the 18 year old thinks although predictable is funny.

Posted - May 09 2010 : 9:35:42 PM In some ways we are living Green Acres! Because we have a family "compound" but share one address, the phone company would only hook my phone up to the front house. Outside. So to check my messages, I have to cross the yard and look under the box I keep it in. My washer and dryer are also outside, but I really don't even use the dryer, I hang my laundry. My closet is a "wardrobe trailer" as I do not have adequate space in the house. Shall I go on? So it's Green Acres, I wouldn't trade it for the world!

Posted - Apr 29 2010 : 8:51:59 PM Green acres is the place to be...farm living is the life for me. Land spreading out so far and wide...forget Manhattan, just give me that countryside. New York is where I'd rather stay...I get allergic smelling hay. I just adore a penthouse view. Darling I love you, but give me Park Avenue. The chores, the stores, fresh air, times square. You are my wife! Goodbye city life! Green acres we are there!
Thats from memory......

Posted - Apr 29 2010 : 7:51:29 PM I liked Green Acres and Petticoat Junction and can remember the theme songs. I also liked Family Affair, even if it wasn't set in the country. I thought Cissy, Buffy, and Jody were the luckiest kids there were. and Arnold was definitely the luckiest pig. Cindy

Posted - Apr 29 2010 : 08:13:49 AM Did any of you know that the man that trained "Arnold the pig", and the rest of the animals on Green Acres, Beverly Hillbillys, and Petticoat Junction, was one in the same; Mr Frank Inn, also Higgens on Petticoat Junction went on to become "Benji" of dog movies fame.
