Posted - May 01 2010 : 06:12:14 AM I stopped into my favorite consignment shop here in town and discovered a beautiful pair of "Birkies" in just my size for only $4.00!
I love Rosey's little shop "Shabby Chic Consignment"---She also had a complete white wicker furniture set dating from the 1920's made at our own Lloyd Loom factory that would look perfect in my shop and listed for $2,500. Too much for me! But, I can dream!
Here is a link so you can see what beautiful work they have done for over 100-years:

Posted - May 01 2010 : 7:00:28 PM Thrift shops are my hangouts . . . one in Dolores (5 miles north of my house) and 2 in Cortez (5 miles south of my house). I may hit them all every week, but I hit at least one of them every week.
Spend very little money because prices are quite good. CJ

Posted - May 01 2010 : 10:28:19 AM I got some great books this week and a set of SC (shabby chic) wall platesto hang in my newly painted kitchen. I feel that kind of therapy is vitally important, often! I found a table in someone's yard that I am working up the courage to ask for. It's just sitting in her yard!!!
It's all good!
