Posted - Jul 22 2011 : 07:47:38 AM Heard the last sonic boom of the space shuttle landing early yesterday morning. It is sad that the space program is coming to an end. I've watched many lift offs from my front porch. I always loved the evening ones. Phewey on government!!

Posted - Jul 22 2011 : 09:09:39 AM The very first space shuttle launch found me in the hospital right after having my daughter Kate...Dr. came into my room and I "shshshed" him so that I could watch the take off. He stood by my bedside and watched as well. My goodness...an end to an era.
