Posted - Aug 07 2011 : 06:38:28 AM Wood smoke. Clothes off the line. My kids/hubby when they've been outdoors. Horse's when you bury your face in their necks. The house when you have a live pine tree up for Christmas. Smell of rain before it starts........then after. Freshly cut wood - especially pine. And last but not least - book pages. And (I only remember this as a kid, I don't think it's 'done' nowadays. Any of you older gals remember this?) alfalfa burning. Oh the many, many nights as a kid going to sleep with that sweet smell wafting into my bedroom!
