Posted - Aug 27 2011 : 10:27:53 AM My son just went to check his work hours and almost hit a dog on the highway. That was right before we spotted the other two strays. Unfortunately, we could not catch the dogs. One may have had tags on too. We are keeping an eye out for them anyway.

Posted - Aug 27 2011 : 10:15:58 AM My DH and I took a trip to Alabama during the spring to my sisters house. She was renting a place at the time. When we drove up there was dogs every where. I ask her about the dogs and she said they were there when she moved in that the previous owners just left them there. One of them tried to bite me and every time she goes out side she has to tote a broom with her. I ask her why did'nt she call the Dog kennel for the city and she said they did not have an animal shelter there. When we drove to town we saw 3 different dogs dead on the side of the road. I was in shock! I have never seen such a thing. Wild dogs running loose every where. Poor animals. I saw some laying around in town that looked hungry. I really did not relize that there was towns that still allowed this. That would never happen here. When she moved she felt sorry for them because she knew no one was going to be feeding them. So she poured out a huge sack of feed for them before she moved out. I ask her about the land lord and he told her if she did'nt want them there to just shoot them. How cruel!!

Posted - Aug 27 2011 : 09:56:26 AM Sorry to hear that. People just dont understand the dangers of letting their animals roam, and then a poor innocent bystander such as yourself has to deal with the aftermath. I hope everythng works out for you. Prayers sent...
