Posted - Jan 28 2012 : 6:18:38 PM Just a few days ago our very own Nicole- (suburban farmgirl) aka "texdane", blogged about the comfort of "throws". She posted a tutorial on how to make a double sided fleece "no sew" throw. Inspired, my daughter and I went and picked some fleece out at our local fabric store...Below are the pictures of our finished throw.Thank you again Nicole!

Posted - May 18 2012 : 2:49:37 PM Thanks gals! Nicole- You are so sweet- cant believe that you found this post after all these months. Yes, as soon as I read your blog about the fleece blankets my daughter and I ran out and got the material and started measurin' and cuttin'. She was very proud to basically make it by herself. I even made one for my monthly BINGO group gift and it was a BIG hit! So to say the least...YES you inspired me (as you so often do!) I too just love our farmgirl sisters- I am always learning something useful or fun from y'all! Hugs,

Posted - May 18 2012 : 08:56:03 AM I loved your work and the frogs are too cute. I have made several of these and people just love them, we actually fight over them at my house.

Posted - May 18 2012 : 05:18:29 AM Laurie,
How did I miss this!?? So many months ago! I just found it or I would have responded before... I only found it now searching for something else. Oh my goodness, thank you. Aren't they fun to make? I love, love, love your froggie print! So cute! Great job!! It's beautiful. I made a couple more the last few months, myself. The last one was a smaller one for a new baby for my daughter's fourth grade teacher. She collects ladybugs, so I found a red and white ladybug print and a tie-dye red for the background. It came out so cute. I love the bright colors. Each one is so unique, it's fun to see how they turn out. And so easy, too, right? Thanks again for saying I inspired you. Made my day because all the farmgirls here inspire me so much!
Farmgirl Hugs!

Posted - Jan 29 2012 : 06:33:23 AM Thanks girls! My daughter picked her fabric and is thrilled with her new blanket! I went back to the fabric store and bought a really pretty fleece and will be making another larger blanket for my monthly "Bingo" group gift/ Our theme for February is "Warm me up" so I thought this would make a cute gift, along with a pretty tea cup and some nice teas. Its these simple things in life, like taking the time to make pretty and useful things, that I enjoy the most. I love a simple life!

Posted - Jan 28 2012 : 7:26:41 PM That is really cute. I am also a non-sewer. I have ten thumbs when it comes to sewing. I really don't think I can do that. I like the froggies too. Marly
