this has to be some huge ugly mistake..we got a court summons in the mail for my dh yesterday, he and 19 others from his former work are accused of theft I can't believe this is happening to us, he has never stolen anything in his life, we have just now got our finances and life back on track after years of struggle and debt including a bankruptcy and foreclosure. I am so terrified I couldn't eat a thing yesterday, feel nauseous all the time, I don't even know what to do

When, not if, he gets his named cleared and he does not get his job back or his back pay I fully plan on suing this company for defamation of character and then some. Hopefully I won't have to

Patricia, I agree with Allee and Winona. This has hurt your whole Family not just your Husband. God does not want us to be a door mat. Just Pray about it and move forward with what you have to do just do not do it in a malicious or hard hearted way.

Patricia- I have to agree 100% with Winona! You can be upset and angry and still protect yourself! *hugs*

Sorry, I haven't read the whole post, just happened to see this particular post. If you need to sue, sue and don't feel about it. Just because you're a christian doesn't mean you let people walk and trample on you. Angry is fine, just not rage (that goes for any religion). I'm not religious in any sense of the word but God gave us these feelings and emotions and I don't think he meant for us to ignore what he has given us. You go, girl!!

Patricia, I just now read this thread myself. My heart aches for you 'cause I've had medicines and medical bill issues before myself (ie, no insurance).

Look over these websites; they might help.

www.pparx.org/
www.rxassist.org/

I'm sure there are other programs out there but these two I'm familiar with.

You're in my prayers. Keep us posted.

Patricia, contact the company that makes your sons meds a lot of times they have a program where you can get the drugs at little or no cost, look them up online or call your pharmacy. Keeping you in my thoughts hope everything goes back to normal real soon. Roxanna

he had another pre trial hearing yesterday, the info the lawyer was supposed to get 5 weeks ago, she got yesterday so next week they are going to get together and look over it. the judge is getting angry that nobody has come forward so they are making noises about re-indicting to try ans scare people. I have applied for cash and food assistance thru the county but it takes a month, we have found help with dh's meds but not our son so far. I did find a program that he may qualify for that would give him his meds for $18/month so I will sign him up tomorrow and hope for the best. such a frustrating nightmare. I did have to tell my landlord what was going on and bless him he was wonderful and understanding. so thanks for the support and prayers I need them both

I'm sorry to hear about this. Prayers are sent your way. I would ask your atty about a counter suit against the employer for lost wages and contact the labor bureau about cancelling the health benefits. I don't know if that is even legal since, even though he's not being paid, he's still on the books as an employee. If your dh gets his job back after this, he might want to see about organizing a union to prevent this crap from happening to anyone else. I'm not a union person myself, but there are some protection benefits from being a union member. For instance, I was a corrections officer in a county jail. One of our protections was that if administration accused me of something that threatened my position (say beating an inmate), I had union representation at my hearing to defend me. It's just a thought. Hope all works out for you and dh. This also sounds to me like there is something more going on in the heirarchy of you dh's company.

Oh my gosh, Patricia. I just came in on the conversation..don't know how I missed it. I am so sorry. You all have really been through it and you must be so very tired to have to keep hanging in. Prayers are going out for you guys and I am including one that you all will see a very good thing come out of what looks so very bad right now.

You have 61 days to refuse your COBRA benefits ... so if any BIG medical bills - such as more than the $2800 you would have to pay for your premium - occur you will at least be covered. It isn't much but it is some safety net for a short while.

I am so sorry to hear you are facing such hurdles. I hope you can keep you head up and get through this in one piece.
