Going to be out there for one day. I'm an east coast girl and not sure about a safe and reasonable place to stay. Any kind information would be helpful. Thanks so much in advance!!

I live out here in California but not in San Francisco just don't stay at the Mariposa Hotel it is not a good place even if it is close to Down town.
La Quinta is pretty good. and so is the Clarion but I think that is South SF. Check Cheap tickets or orbits and put in Hotels..You just have to watch your price range and where it is located at.
I hope this helps a little.
Have a really fun trip and go to Pier 39 on the Fisherman's wharf.

I live in Danville, which is about 40 minutes east of San Francisco, and I'm pretty familiar with all things Bay Area. Let me know if you still have questions!

I don't live out there but my sister and I vacationed in San Fran. We used the bus/trolley system to get around and it worked well for us. We really enjoyed the zoo, that is a must see.I can't remember where we stayed, but we spent most of our time just walking around. Wish I could give you more info, but it's been about 10 years. Hope you have all kinds of fun!
