And I've continued to work at the college and run my business-but I have decided to quit the college job after yet another illogical and highly distressful reprimand from my immediate supervisor. She has taken to reprimanding me via email and over the phone in my off hours and days off. This last one really stressed me out as it was one of those "what could've happened" instead of what did (ie the job got done) This combined with no pay raise for 6 years caused me to not show up for work this morning. This is a part time job w/no benefits and I work usually 2 days a week. I'm asking for your thoughts & prayers that I have made the right decision and that other paths open up for me. I want to teach music.

Thanks all! It comes as a shock to me that I've pretty much quit already (haven't announced it where I work) Feels good but very strange.....esp with all the buzz in the media about keep your job no matter how lousy it is.
Marly, how did you get into teaching music, and what age range do you teach,& what instrument(s)?

Sherrie, good luck with everything. It is hard to have a stressful job and especially when you have no support from your supervisor.

Sherrie, I hope you get to teach music soon. I've taught music and absolutely love doing it. Good luck.
