Posted - Aug 01 2012 : 7:24:47 PM well, when we blog we want to make everyone happy and welcome, and we want to share our joy, so maybe we tend to look perfect. Nothing can be further from the truth! We are all in this world together, good and bad days combined. When I blog, I just want everyone else to see what makes me happy and to see their forms of happiness too! Everyone looking at my photos knows that my world is not perfect. But I so enjoy sharing the fun times.

Posted - Aug 01 2012 : 7:20:04 PM Thanks Brenda! Nope, Mrs. Perfect doesn't exist . . even if there are some who think they are Mrs. Perfect! I'm a "recovering perfectionist" and I learned lessons . . . in a very traumatic, life-threatened manner, that "perfection" and doing my best are two ENTIRELY different things. The Lord has wrapped His arms around me and loved me into being the woman He created me to be . . not "Mrs. Perfect". WOW!! What a relief!!! Thanks for being you! CJ

Posted - Aug 01 2012 : 1:52:29 PM Absolutely lovely post! You're right, there's a lot of competition in the blog world to look perfect. I notice a lot of photos are severely cropped. I always wonder just what did they crop out of the photo? But I'm guilty of doing the same. Pictures of my garden? Sure, but you won't see the Ford 150 lawn ornament that DH is still working on. I try hard to be genuine but it doesn't always happen.

Posted - Aug 01 2012 : 09:56:57 AM Hi Brenda, Just hanging around your blog. So true, perfect can be hard to reach sometimes. My Grandma used to say "sometimes pretty near is good enough." Learn to live with that and you won't be so stressed. Then when things are perfect, yippee! Nancy Jo

Posted - Aug 01 2012 : 09:29:22 AM Nancy, I so agree . . . I think if we could all be a little more "real" with each other, the world would be a much easier place to be a part of!
Hugs & Blessings,
Brenda
