Posted - Aug 05 2012 : 1:02:58 PM My son and his girlfriend just successfully sailed from Wrangell Alaska to Port Townsend Wa in his 29 foot sailboat. What's really amazing that about 2 1/2 years ago he did this trip by himself! |

They even had to get towed by the friendly Canadian Coast Guard when their engine died (no wind at that time to to sail). They had to spend a few days waiting for the part to come in by float plane to a remote Native village. |

Posted - Aug 06 2012 : 05:32:43 AM My congrats to them! My hubby would be soooo happy doing that! Me? . . . never in a million years! I'm not a water or boating person! But I admire those who do it! CJ

Posted - Aug 05 2012 : 7:53:45 PM Awsome! I grew up learning how to sail. Dad always had a sail boat of some kind. He had to give it up a few years ago when he was 82. Laurie
