Posted - Sep 06 2012 : 3:39:53 PM This may sound silly but I just had to share.. I work at a local nursing home that has just completed a big renovation of one of its wings. Today was moving day for some of our residents into the new fancy rooms. I was helping to move some of the larger furniture when one of the men I work with said to me (very politely) to step aside and they would lift the heavy stuff. My boss just happened to be standing there and looked right at him and said "She's no sissy, she's a Farmgirl!" I couldnt help but smile and felt so proud! |

Posted - Sep 06 2012 : 3:44:44 PM AMEN and AMEN! I know whatcha mean. Same thing happens to me when I go shopping or set up for Farmers Market or such like. Just this past weekend my daughter and I were Glamping together, wearing our "Certified Farmgirl" or our "Farmgirls on the Loose" shirts. Several folks stopped by our glamp-site to check it out, look around and admire. One couple saw our shirts and asked how we came up with the name "Farmgirl". My daughter simply said "because we are". Then we explained a little more about our heritage and history. Yup, proud to be called a FARMGIRL! CJ
