I saw the post about donating to the homeless and wanted to let everyone know that all across the country, food pantries are in desparate need of donations. Rising food costs, increased demand and decreased funding are causing our food banks to run short of food or run out completely. Please remember to give what you can all year long, not just during the holidays. FYI: many food banks will accept fresh veggies and fruits, so if you have a bumper crop of something, consider calling your local food bank to see if they will accept them. I have included a link to the Feeding America food bank list if anyone is interested. Thanks ladies!
