Posted - Oct 31 2012 : 8:17:33 PM One of my favorite hymns.

Blest Be The Tie That Binds
...We share our mutual woes, Our mutual burdens bear; And often for each other flows The sympathizing tear.
I've had this hymn replaying in my mind over the last couple of days. I heard it just the other day while watching the old black and white movie "Our Town" and I thought it was so appropriate considering the catastrophic chain of events taking place on the East coast.
What is your favorite hymn?

Posted - Nov 04 2012 : 9:26:53 PM For hymns I would have to also say 'How Great Thou Art'!! Always gives me goosebumps........I thinks it's just beautiful!
But I also live contemporary worship. My very favorites are pretty much anything that Chris Tomlin does!

Posted - Nov 03 2012 : 6:42:51 PM This is not a standard hymn, maybe more of a wedding song...But, as a flute major that played in weddings etc. I will NEVER forget, a young red headed girl singing "In This Very Room" She was tiny & had a huge voice. All of the musicians in the wedding were from her high school, except me (I was the brides flute teacher) but, that little red headed gal left an imprint on my heart I have searched YouTube for a similar impression, but,,alas, my memory will have to do |

Love that song. I've made a short list of hymns I want sung at my funeral. I know, morbid, but they're my favorites.
