My Son was sitting in a bar Sunday night playing his guitar and some guy next to him was acting strange all night. He'd told my son earlier that night he was working undercover and not to be alarmed if anything happened. (STRANGE) This gunman had been messing with a guys girlfriend all night, and she later hugs the guy before cops come. They believe he was going to shoot the girls boyfriend because he was angry with him. Nobody knew this guy, he's from a different County. My son kept watching him and all of a sudden he pulled a gun out and my son grabbed it and took it away. He lays his guitar down, (he loves that guitar) and then trys to get the bartenders attention to take the gun but nobody would help. But they really didn't know what was going on. Finally after it was over my son called his friend who was on duty and they came and arrested this guy. He had five warrants against him and is a sex offender. The gun was a 38 special loaded fully with hollow points and had a pocket full of ammo. I'm so thankful my son wasn't hurt nor was anyone else hurt. Here is a link to the video on youtube. I'm very proud of my son. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D6egwSFaDt4

I just found out the gunman had written a note on his tab that read "Sorry I've been an a??hole but don't worry this will be my last beer" ...he was an angry young man that night. Glad he's where he belongs.

I'm with you Cindy!!! Once is one too many for me lol. We don't go to bars and I'd rather him not either. But he's grown and has his own life. I just keep praying for him.

That must of been scary. so glad your son is OK. I went to a bar once with my cousin--it was a bar with a bad reputation. My cousin said,"Don't worry, I've only seen a gun pulled in here once". Gulp. I haven't been back there since.

He's doing well. A little overwhelmed, after realizing what could have happened. He just reacted in the moment and never thought about all the "what if's" ...but of course that's natural. He's thankful and everyone has thanked him and is proud of him. Thanks so much for asking about him. :)

Mikki, he was at the right place at the right time, and I must say, there were angels around him. How is he doing today?

Thank you Sherry and Marly! Yes as much as I hate for him going to that place, or any bar, I'm thankful for the outcome. Bless his heart. He was just trying to keep that guy from getting shot.

what a wonderful thing your son did. if he had not been there who knows what the situation would have been. there is nothing like a mamas pride for her sons actions. so lots of folks are alive and safe tonight and in the future. a bad man is put away. happy days for you all.
