My son is the coach for the Homer Nordic ski team. The team was practicing on a frozen lake yesterday and a 5.8 earthquake hit! Everyone is fine no damage reported.

JoAnn, That sounds like quite an exciting place to be during an earthquake! I never thought about that before, but my goodness that must be dangerous. So glad he's safe.

Thanks everyone but knowing Eric he probably thought it was cool. I'm just glad there wasn't any damage to towns and no one was hurt.

JoAnn aka Mountaingirl,

I am so glad that your son and his team are all safe. What a scare that had to be. Glad no one was injured, or any damage done.
Occasionaly we will have one here in Indiana that will shake the windows and rock things on the shelves. Not to mention what it does to your nerves. WHEW!

We are sitting on a major fault line.

Hopefully there will be no more. Trust God to take care of your Son and Alaska.

I will keep your Son and all of Alaska in my prayers.

Blessings!
