Lookie what I found at the Thrift for $1.99

This so cool! a 1958 Tuppercraft by Tupperware hamper...

"At the time, a strict dress code was required for Tupperware ladies, with skirts and tights worn at all times, and white gloves often accompanying the outfit."(wikapedia)

I luv the history behind Tupperware except when E. Tuper fired his female VP B.Willis, so he could sell the company to Rexall...

Anyways... back to my cool container... it is approximately 20" tall & 7" across.... I am guessing it was for a lady's delicates...
I luv it and it will go in our 'Tin Cup' vintage trailer...

I love Tupperware! I have some older pieces from when they were only that opaque white, some of the pieces from the 70s and some newer pieces! In my opinion, Tupperware is the best of keeping things fresh, free of weevils, etc.

I know, I know . . you would hope that weevils wouldn't get into your little hampper . . :D

Woo, I need to move to where you gals are I'd clean up in your area the way you are talking. I feel like there is a Tupper-Lady for every square foot around here.

My mom had a Tupperware container with the Tupperware "seal" on it--a little imprint of an actual seal. I have some new Tupperware that I got about twenty years ago--OK, so maybe it isn't so new. But it is compared to my mom's.

I got a big giggle about the 'dress code' in the early years...

I do have a set of 6 pastel tumblers... not sure when they were made... I bought them at a Thrift... they were bagged up...and look to never have been used... the white is in perfect condition,,, and the others also show no signs of use, no stain, no scratches, and no teeth marks on the rim... Someone probably bought them,,, just to make a purchase at a party or maybe to replace worn ones,,, but never got around to it. Guess I will never know...

Yes, good old tupperware!!! I sold it back for 5 years back in the early 70's. They also made shower curtains and other household items before they went into mostly all dishware. They also owned a perfume company and West Bend appliance company, plus some other small business's. It brings back lots of good memories for me.
