I was out early this morning and we had a beautiful sunrise. So was taking pictures like crazy. I love sunrises. When I came inside to download them, I noticed this one. There is this horrible evil thorny vine that hangs from several trees around here. Every time I grab one by mistake, I think of what it must have felt like to be made into a crown and stuck on Jesus' head. Horrible. So I just thought this was appropriate for a Good Friday photo.

I hope and pray you all have a wonderful weekend and Easter with family.

Hi Kristen
I just saw this and it really does feel like it represented Christ with the crown of thorns on his head, the pain He went through must of been so terrible and just doing it for us and our sins. Thank you for the beautiful picture.
hugs

Just follow God unquestioningly.
Because you love Him so, for if you trust His judgment there is nothing you need to know.

Happy Easter to you all. I just put the leg of lamb in the oven and it smells so good alreay. Can't wait to eat some. I just hope it's tender. Went out to pick some daffodils and they're all gone already. They bloomed so early. But found lots of henbit. I hope you all have a wonderful day.

Big hugs to you this Sunday and Happy Easter, Kris! Oh--- I can almost smell the leg of lamb. What is henbit? I'm not too familiar with names of flowers or herbs. At the new house we bought in Texas, there are all kinds of pretty flowers and herbs. I have no idea what they are called. I'll have to take pictures and post. I'm sure the farmgirls can help me identify them.. LOL

Thank you, Kristin, for the picture and the thoughts. It is so easy to be distracted by chocolate bunnies, flowers and a new Easter outfit from the real significance of Easter and Good Friday can kind of slip out of our thoughts. Thanks for the reminder.

Kris: Your picture is so beautiful! What a good analogy for Good Friday. I have vines like that here in Louisiana. Must be careful grabbing those vines! Ouch!!!!
Hugs.

Thank you Kristin,
The way the picture is framed it looks like the vine of
thorns is reaching down from Heaven.
